Do HON Circle and Senator members pay the annual fee?

It depends on your Miles & More status:

• HON Circle: Your annual fee is waived for as long as you hold HON Circle status.
• Senator: Your first year is free. From your second year onwards, the full annual fee applies.

What if I move up a status during the card year?

Good news — an upgrade can take effect straight away. If you reach HON Circle or Senator status partway through your card year, we'll refund the portion of your fee covering the rest of that year, worked out from the date you reached the new status.

• If you reached HON Circle, your renewals stay free for as long as you hold HON Circle status.
• If you reached Senator, that partial refund counts as your one free year. From your next renewal onwards, the full annual fee applies, even if you're still a Senator.

What if I drop down a status during the card year?
Nothing changes mid-year. A drop in status only takes effect at your next renewal. We check your Miles & More status shortly before each renewal, and that status sets how your fee works for the year ahead. So if your status goes down to Frequent Traveller, the full annual fee applies from your next renewal.

How do I get the fee waiver?

When you sign up, make sure you enter your correct Miles & More number as this is how we confirm your status. You’ll be charged the annual fee at the start, and once we’ve confirmed your HON Circle or Senator status, we’ll refund it. Refunds are issued within 10 working days of your payment.
